Dinh Co Vu

Nearly every day while walking around Hanoi we would pass a small local shrine tucked in tightly between two buildings called Dinh Co Vu. It was interesting to me because of the big old tree that was growing over its walls. Each time we walked past, the gates were padlocked shut with a note pinned to the door (in Vietnamese). We thought we would never get to see it.

Finally, on our last week in Hanoi, we walked past to find it was open! It's a really tiny temple, a typical Taoist shrine. Nice and atmospheric. The tree roots gave it a really cool atmosphere that made it feel so old!
