A word on the direction of this blog during the global pandemic

The direction of this blog has been forced to change quite a bit during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Instead of a travel blog, it's becoming a place for me to talk about news and my hobbies. Over the next few weeks, while Bangkok remains under lockdown, I want to continue writing. It's a very valuable creative outlet for me, and I want to keep up with my regular routine of blogging.

While the world is struggling with the global pandemic, Thailand is completely locked down. There are virtually no flights in or out of Thailand, and all travel, trips, and tours are cancelled. I'm trying to be responsible by staying home, and will continue to do so for the duration. For the next few weeks, I don't foresee myself having any new adventures to share, but will continue updating you all about the quarantine and pandemic situation as well as sharing posts about some interests of mine including vexillology (the study of flags) and micronations (new country projects).

In short, I will continue posting regularly, it will just be slightly different content than what I am normally used to publishing on this blog.

I hope you enjoy the new content as much as you enjoy the regular stuff.

Once the COVID-19 situation is over, this blog will return to its regular format!

Keep calm and carry on!

-Michael
