Canon Rebel 2000: the last great film camera of the 20th century
Released in 1999, the Canon EOS Rebel 2000 is a highly-professional, super lightweight, fully-functional 35mm film camera released as one of the very last and best mass-produced SLR cameras of the 20th century. I picked one up super cheap a few months back! Since Canon EOS system lenses are interchangeable, I'm able to use the same lenses from my DSLR on my film SLR! Here's the first roll that I ever shot with the Rebel 2000.
Shot on Kodak Ektar 100
I have to say, these photos turned out really well! The camera produces extremely sharp and crisp images almost 100% perfectly in focus. I accidentally knocked the back, exposing the film, but since the film winds automatically backwards into the cannister, only a few shots were lost.Since it's a pretty modern camera (1999-2002), it has a computerized setting system, giving me complete manual control over the photos. It's the best of both worlds: a film camera with a digital brain!
