Cast Iron Burgerhaus: The Search for Bangkok's Best Burger

Way back in February, my wife and I started a mission to try to find the best burger in Bangkok! Our plans were derailed by the worsening of COVID-19 and the ensuing lockdowns, but we finally got the chance to continue the mission!

Bangkok's Best Burger Episode 2: Cast Iron Burgerhaus

Last week, we had lunch at Cast Iron Burgerhaus, a very popular burger joint in Bangkok's trendy and upscale Ari neighborhood (one of the absolute best neighborhoods in the city for great food).

This restaurant had been on our radar for a while. I was especially excited, because my wife's boss insists that this place serves his favorite burger in the whole city!

The "burgerhaus" also serves beer, and is usually a popular spot in the evenings. However, restaurants have not been allowed to sell alcohol for months due to the government's COVID-19 restrictions, so that was off the menu.

We opted instead for root beer, a classic alternative, and the perfect refreshing American drink to pair with a great hamburger.

I ordered the chunky blue cheese pork burger. A huge, juicy burger patty comes topped with gorgonzola cheese, bleu cheese sauce, and fresh rocket. I'm a fan of bleu cheese (I know not everyone likes it), and I was delighted by how tangy the sauce was. I loved my burger!

Pinky got a jalapeño asado pork burger. It came with provolone cheese, caramelized onions, pickled jalapeño, crispy shallots, and chimichurri sauce. This burger was excellent too.

Both orders came with a side of thick cut potato fries and sweet ketchup for dipping.

We loved our lunch! Both patties were huge and very juicy, and the buns were perfectly toasted. Every burger on the menu looked great. They served some really exciting creative combinations that I would love to try, and I really hope that we can go back for lunch there again sometime in the near future.

Honestly, Cast Iron will be hard to beat.
