I was married on the 19th of August, but I wanted to save this post to publish on one of my centennial celebrations on this blog!
Two years and 200 posts ago, I shared on this blog about the small wedding ceremony that my wife and I celebrated in my hometown of Arlington, Texas.
We decided that it would be fun to have a traditional Thai Buddhist ceremony in America and a Western Christian wedding ceremony in Thailand. Although we've been legally married since 2020, we never really had the chance to celebrate our wedding with all of our friends and family due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finally, this year we were happy to have our Christian wedding at Christ Church in Bangkok, Thailand on the same date as our Buddhist wedding in America two years before.

Christ Church is my home church in Bangkok. It's the main Protestant church in Bangkok, the mother church of the Anglican Church in Thailand, and the center of the local Anglican Church in Thailand (a member church in the Diocese of Singapore) in the Church of the Province of Southeast Asia (a church in communion with the Church of England and the Archbishop of Canterbury).
Most Thai Christians are either Roman Catholic or Evangelical, and Christ Church was established with a grant from the Royal Family of Thailand to be "a church for all peoples". It's one of the oldest churches in Thailand with a history dating back more than a century!
It was an honor to be married in this historic church that was once visited by none other than Queen Elizabeth II herself during her tour of southeast Asia.
I wore the charcoal grey suit that was bespoke-made by my trusty tailor Dave and a pink elephant tie that Mom and Kyle bought for me at the Jim Thompson house just a few days before.
My groomsmen included my brother Kyle, my good buddy and former colleague Chris, my brother-in-law Wassan, and two of my wife's best friends Golf and Tun.
The wedding was performed by the Reverend Father Matthew Fitter, the Vicar of Christ Church and a very good guy.
He worked so hard to make sure that our wedding ceremony was exactly what we wanted it to be. Thanks to Matthew, our wedding went perfectly.
Our traditional Anglican ceremony was beautiful, and everything that Pinky and I had ever wanted.
We walked out from the church as Okey, Christ Church's organist, played the Wedding March. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen shot bubbles at us from their bubble guns as we left the church.
It was a beautiful day, and I was so happy that my mom, brother, and good buddy Chris could be there to join me.
