Choui Fong

And now back to my October adventures!

tea terraces
I love tea! I was very excited when Pinky and I were in Chiang Rai Province to pay a visit to Choui Fong tea plantation way up in the far north of the country.

The air was cool and fresh, with a slight breeze. We got to join a tea tasting and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Chuoi Fong grown oolong tea, and we got to sample three different blends.

Tea is grown on low camellia bushes, arranged in neat rows that promote healthy irrigation and allow for it to be harvested easily and efficiently. These rows of tea terraces spread out in all directions around us. The plantation was really in the  middle of nowhere; looking around, we could see nothing but sprawling hills full of tea!
