COVID Coronation Day - Update #10

Today is Coronation Day, a public holiday in Thailand and the 1st anniversary of the coronation of HM King Rama X to the Throne of Thailand.

This year, however, the government has cancelled all holidays, festivals, and celebrations during the month of May. Coronation Day, Visakha Bucha Day (the Enlightenment of Buddha), and the Royal Ploughing Ceremony have all been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Thailand's infection rate had fallen to below 10 for the past few days. Because of this, the government was prepared to ease restrictions. Public parks, hair-\dressers, pet groomers, and small restaurants have been allowed to reopen with many restrictions.

The booze ban has officially been lifted, although restaurants cannot serve alcohol for the time being. Only grocery stores and local convenience stores may sell alcohol for now. After three weeks of the booze ban, I'm sure the very powerful Thai breweries are happy with this announcement.
