Bubble Cheese Ice Cream, Caffeinated Coconut Water, and Popcorn Milk: Only in Thailand

From time to time, I like to write up a post about some of the weirder fast food and convenience store snacks that I've encountered in Thailand or on my travels. It's time for another "Only in Thailand" post!

Bubble Cheese Ice Cream by Cornetto

Cheese tea has been sort of a trend in the last year or two. It's a hot milk tea served with a dollop of cream cheese on top, which makes the drink a bit richer and creamier. It sounds weirder than it really is, though there is a slightly sharp cheesy flavor to it.

I came across this Cornetto "Bubble Cheese" ice cream cone at the shop the other week. It's a cheesy milk tea flavored ice cream with some chewy boba from Taiwanese bubble tea mixed into it. A bit weird, and not necessarily a flavor I'd come back to again and again, but much better than I expected.

RU Coco Caffeinated Coconut Water with Coffee

Now here's something that I've really come to love! I always like to start my day with coffee, but this caffeinated coffee/coconut water is becoming my new go-to in the morning. Coconut water is super good for you. It contains a ton of natural vitamins and electrolytes along with the caffeine from the coffee. It might not sound like these two things go together at all, but the slightly sweet and salty coconut water and the coffee somehow make an excellent pair. Hydration and caffeine really help me get up and get going in the morning.

Meiji Caramel Popcorn Flavored Milk

This is a weird one. Maybe one of the weirder one's I've featured on here. This is a little bottle of caramel popcorn flavored milk. I think it's supposed to be more of a dessert or treat than an actual glass of milk, as it's served in a tiny bottle. I admit, it's not actually bad, but the flavors are so distinct that it just feels weird to be drinking it. Overall, I don't hate it (it's not too much different than caramel ice cream, I suppose), but it is admittedly a strange concept.
