Christmas Lunch

šŸŽ…

 Merry Christmas

šŸŽ„ 2022 ❄️

It was bright and sunny on Christmas morning. Carols were playing from the speakers throughout Central Department Store as my wife and I sat down at the Central Eatery restaurant. Tucked away within Tops Supermarket in the basement of Central Ladprao, this restaurant had put together a very festive menu for the holiday season, and we had decided to treat ourselves with a Christmas lunch out.

I ordered a Christmas beer as we looked over the menu.

Even though Thanksgiving was long past, I was tempted by the Thanksgiving turkey plate. While ham might be more traditional for Christmas lunch in the states, turkey is a very valid British Christmas meat.

Pinky ordered the ham, which came with huge servings of mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and carrots.

I was delighted by my choice! The turkey was incredibly juicy and soft, and was served with gravy, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, and a little cup of cranberry sauce.

Merry Christmas, everyone! It might not be the most traditional way to celebrate, but I've always said that when you live abroad, you have to find ways to make your own holidays and celebrations festive and special.
