I am
very pleased with the results from the first roll of film I tested out with my homemade Konstruktor SLR camera that I built from a kit!

We went out to the annual
Lumpini Park Travel Fair, and I brought my new camera with me. I really didn't know what to expect. I half expected that the photos wouldn't turn out because I had done something wrong. But I was really happy to see that the roll developed just fine! I guess I built the camera correctly after all!

The color turned out decent! One thing I noticed was that I had forgotten to wind the film a few times (there isn't any mechanism to prevent you from taking multiple shots over one frame) so I ended up with a few multiple exposures, which are cool in their own way.

It's a little hard to compose a shot with the Konstruktor because of the top-down mirror box viewfinder. That makes it more fun, and it makes it really great for taking "artsy" (accidental...) pictures.

I'm interested in learning how to get better with this camera. It's actually the only SLR I own, and it's special to me because Pinky and I built it together from the kit.

I have a roll of black and white film in the Konstruktor now. I haven't gotten much chance to shoot more than a few frames with it yet, but once I develop that roll, I'll put it up here too! I'm excited to see how that turns out.
