Photo Gallery: A Little Bangkok

These photos are part of the same roll of film as my black and white photos from Vietnam. The following photographs were taken around Latprao Road in Bangkok.

These photos didn't really fit in with the previous post, so I thought I'd make a little mini Photo Gallery post with the photos I shot around my neighborhood on the leftover film that I had after my journey through Vietnam.

Ganesha Shrine at Union Mall, Bangkok, Thailand - despite being a strongly Buddhist country, the Hindu gods are widely revered, and the Ganesha Shrine is always busy.

The rat is the helper of Ganesha, and shrines dedicated to the elephant-headed Indian god are often decorated with statues of his rodent assistants. Worshipers can donate rat carvings and images at the shrine.

This area of Bangkok is growing increasingly vertical - every day, it seems, new condos and high-rises grow up like trees in a concrete and steel forest.

The busy streets of Bangkok.
