Mister Lobster

Pinky and I wanted to do something fun for Valentine's Day. We decided to be spontaneous and go to the nearby mall for lunch. Our goal was to eat at a restaurant we had never been to before. After walking around for a while, we settled on Mister Lobster.

Mister Lobster
The restaurant was a little pricey, but it was a special occasion. There was a special deal going on for a half pesto chicken and half lobster roll, which I ordered. Seafood is popular in Thailand, but lobster is a really American sort of food. I hadn't had lobster in ages. Now I am craving it! I want to head over to Maryland or Maine soon, and bring Pinky with me to try all of the amazing seafood that the US east coast has to offer.

Last evening was great as well. An old friend, James, my first colleague and English department guru when I used to teach at the high school, is visiting Thailand from California. He's always been an inspiration to me. While working full time he was able to complete his masters degree, become fluent in Thai, and get married! We had a wonderful evening catching up over a huge Thai feast at a local beer garden. Selfishly, I hope that he and his Thai wife move back to Bangkok sooner rather than later!
